Well i have had my sportsman for 3 weeks now. Im looking into some mods to put on it. Ive heard if i wanted to buy some bigger tires i would need to lift it? I usually ride in mud, or water. So far she sits high enough up that i dont believe i need a lift. Any idea's on some mods would be nice. Thanks!

i have an 02.
i put on an 800 snorkel and a k/n filter, also removed all of the foam around the gas tank(for more clean air)
i "heard" a difference but really didnt "feel" anything.
ive now put on an 800 header and a polaris silencer and this thing will wheelie hard now.
so much more throttle and i can go threw deep holes now without any throttle at all.
if youve got the cash to spend, id say these mods are a great place to start.
very simple, can do it all in about 2 hours.

you don't need a lift for a 2005 to go up to 27's or 28's....the 28's would be getting close.....i have two sets of 27 inchers for my '05 700 EFI, ones set of Mudlites and the other 589's, both on ITP 5C wheels...

as far as mods, if you have the carb'd model, you can put in an aftermarket air filter, exhaust, etc....i haven't seen anyone making a cam for the '05, but Hot Cams does it for the '02-'04......
