Default 2006 X2

Opinions on the new X2. Curious on whether this machine would be a better all around machine for trail riding as primary use, take the wife for easy rides, snowpowing in winter and last use around the home for yard tasks etc.
I been looking at the Outlander Max 400.

Currently riding a 05 500 HO.

well the sportsmans have the best ride, proven. and it has the tough 500 H.O. motor which is compairable to the sportsman 700 carb, and it comes with EFI this year for even more power and fuel efficiency. not to mention the extra 100cc's and EFI in my opinion makes it a better buy. the utility application is also higher than the 400 as the polaris has composite racks and significantly higher weight loads.

the X2 all the way with EFI and the turf mode from the ATP.
2, 4 (AWD) and 1 Wheel Drive.

It also has the new IRS on the back end.

the bomb is nice but the x2 is better for what your describing as being used as a worker also. I want one of those x2's also but with that said I still would get the bomb 400 over it right now just because of the warranty of 5 years compared to a 6 month warranty. as far as power that 400 has about the same as polaris 500 especailly when you consider the hp to weight ratio.

i belive the X2 is coming with the 800 clutch as well so even if it does have the same power as that 400, it'll probebly get there alot faster

Thanks for the input guys. I will probably wait till someone has own or ridden one to see if I really want to go this way. But for now I have enjoyed my 500 HO for the ride. I have owned yamahas the past 7 years. 97 Big Bear, 02 Kodiak and 03 450 Kodiak.

boy-o-boy that 5 YEAR Warranty on the Bomb sure makes the 6 MONTHS on a Polaris look like a joke!

.....but i sure do like the looks of that new X2. 4 wheel EBS, the special rear differential, the dump body, and of course that FANTASTIC 500 engine now has EFI AND a HUGE gas tank!

i'll be waiting for the new X2!

Do the new models have 4 wheel ebs, or is this just a rumor? i would think that that would require quite a redesign of the AWD system.
