pred trany up grade ?
#1
just a quick question. my buddy asked if I ever got the tranny upgrade for my 03 pred. I'm like totaly bumbfounded and asked no why did polaris offer one ? and he said he thought they did.
so getting to my question. Did Polaris offer a update kit for the 03 pred and if so how did they go about informing thier customers cause I sure did not get notified!

Yes they did/still do offer one. It has nothing really to do with Polaris though.........it is not warrenty(sp) or anything. It is just if you have trouble shifting, and don't like it......you can get a tranny update kit, that changes all of the components over to those like the 04's, which shift a lot smoother......also with this kit, neutral is a lot easier to find......so I'm told.
I don't have the kit........either.......it costs like 200 bucks I think......
I believe you can find it near the bottom of this page......Shift Improvement Kit

I have trouble finding neutral on my quad. To top it off the light doesnt work. It's not that big a deal to just shut it off when i stop, except i have this weird theory on starting the quad repeatedly. It just doesnt feel like its good for the quaD.
i didnt hijack did i?

its not bad for it, but its not good for it either, nuetral on my 06 is sometimes a little bugger to find but i usualy am able to find it no problem, whenever im going to let the machine sit for more than a few minutes i turn the engine off anyway
