I have ran Mobil 1 0w40 in my polaris quads for quite some time now. It doesn't hurt anything...even in your $8,000 four-wheeler. I had a Sportsman 400 that I ran on Mobil 1 for over 3,000 miles...and from what I hear it is still kicking to this day. My thing isn't what type of oil I use though...I will use 0w40 just like polaris does but, you have to keep up on your oil changes...I did mine every 1000 miles. Mobil 1 is fully synthetic and 0w40 just like the polaris oil is.

I talked to the guy at the auto parts store near me the last time I changed my oil (a few months back) and he told me that Mobil 1 0W-40 was not selling very well and that they were going to stop making it. I was sad to hear that since that is all I use in my quad. They had a deal on the reaming stock so I got all they had in inventory and it should last me well into next year.

Most synthetic oils have a special version for motorcycles that use the wet clutch. While I've used Mobil 1 0-40w in my automatics without problems, I've never tried Mobil or Amsoil for the Predators.

Yes, you are right... But Polaris uses two different Syntetic 0-40w. One is for the automatics and the PS-4 is for the Predators/Outlaw.
