Dave.....Looks like you had your machine buried pretty good...I didn't see many places to winch from there....Good thing it stopped raining or else you would have had more problems than just a broken prop shaft.......That's some beautiful country out there....nice pics.....glad you got out of that mess.....

i was thinking about it, but to put the gorilla's on all 4 corners costs some serious $

i just finished spraying it off....not to find out where it snapped...its towards the wheel, and parts are sticking out the boot, just put it in the garage, going to lift it up, pull the tire/wheel and see where it broke...

I know this is off topic, but when did you get the camo plastic? Looks good.

You might want to buy a Pull Pal winch anchor. They have one that is sized for ATVs. I have one for my truck that I have used while four wheeling out in Colorado and Utah. I have used it mud, snow, and hard packed ground. It works great. They have a web site, just do a search.

I have one.....they work okay, depending on the terrain if it can get a grip, most area's here in NM it is rock and they won't dig in...and if it is too soft like where i was, they will pull through....needs to be some sturdy dirt to use them and they're a pain to put on the machine....

do you have a lift????

looks like the same kind of damage I see on pickup trucks when they are extending the CV axles too far

also if you want to know you can buy just the CV end from polaris along with a new boot and you will be back on the road again!!!

Hey Polecat dudes!!! Just broke the same thing on my kaw on tuesday---go to www.thecvman.com
My spindle wasnt damaged, as soon as i heard the pop i shut down and pulled her out with the highlift---I was able to order a new cv cage and boot and repaired it myself--total cost was $95.00 with boot and shipping---i ordered the kit on wednesday and got it on saturday morning---was pretty easy to fix---beat the crap outta paying Kaw $350 for a new axle

hope this helps

regards
