Default ? about trailblazer gearcase

when i was ridding the other day my transmission was making a loud banging noise every time i pulled out from a stand still. so i pulled the transmission apart and the only thing that i saw was wrong was the chain in the tranny was real loose and when you would spin it over the chain wanted to ride off of the gears. so can anyone tell me how loose the chain is supposed to be .

The chain is worn out. Replace it and use a good synthetic motor oil in the trans and it will last.

I used a bel ray oil in the tranny and it was great stuff. Don't remember the number though.

Sounds like your tranny chain might be old and stiff.......just get a new one. Also.....make sure your actual chain wasn't just jumping on the front sprocket......I've seen it happen on a bad chain or sprocket
