The belly is the best pace to jack it up, take the wheels off and drain the hub fluid and refill. it will take you maybe 15 minutes. When you put new fluid in the hub put some in then put the screw back in and spin the hub around a little bit to get the fluid in there real good then check it and top it off. Also Sears sell an atv jack for about 100 bucks that works great. picks up the entire quad securely and wont fall off the jack.

Please use punctuation, it makes reading your post much, much easier .

Gilly, the polaris system is very well designed. No electronics to worry about, no complicated mechanics either. It uses overrun clutches, so when the rear tires slip, the front is going slower so it kicks in. Once the front tires are going the same speed as the fronts again (traction regained), it unlocks. Simple as can be; when locked, ALL 4 tires are locked together - no diff action.

As the experts already said, keep the diff fluid fresh and you should have no problems. Just remember when refilling that you want the hub about half full, so fill it up with the hole at the 12 oclock, then turn it to the 3 or 9 oclock and let it drain a bit. Too much oil in there can cause leaks.
