That sounds kind of cool. I don't know how they'd hold up, though - you might want to paint the wheels black first so if the rubber peels it wouldn't show so bad. Would you have it sprayed with Rhino or Line-x, or would you use one of those DIY kits?
I thought about painting my stockers black awhile ago, but decided against it because I figured they'd peel.

But the wheel idea is an interesting one, I know a guy on another board that owns a Line-X shop, I'll ask him about next time I talk to him.

any type of spray on lining requires a few steps first hand. by the way, Line-X spray in looks the best and has higher quality, stay away from rhino, it melts in high heat.
anyway, before being applied, the surface of the metal is roughed up with high grit wet/dry sandpaper, cleaned up with alcohol, taped off, then sprayed in, the stuff has to dry for atleast 48 hours before being used

I painted my rack with Duraliner (see my pics). I also did my bumpers on my 700 EFI. To my suprise both applications went very well. You can brush or spray it on. I thought about doing the wheels, but haven't done it yet. In doing the wheels I'd make sure to either have the wheels blasted, or go over them thoroughly with a Scotchbrite pad.

I used the DIY stuff on my three wheelers stock wheels some time ago. I had two the held up nicely and didn;t chip in about 3 months of use. one that would peel off in sheets I do not know why. I scuffed and followed the same process. for all three rims

CORRECTION: I used Herculiner...(http://www.herculiner.com/) not Duraliner. Still holdin up good...

I was thinking of using this stuff on the nerf bar tubes on my Chev Blazer ZR2 and maybe the front push/brush guard. Has anyone done this with good results?? The salt that they put on the roads up here is unreal!! Will the spray liner stuff hold up good against the salt and other road hazards well??
