Friday night I was riding and someone from a good distance shone a BRIGHT light on me.I assume it was a hand held job by the way it tracked me..This light had a slight blue tint to it.I have one of those 500,000 candle power auto zone rechargeable jobs that in no way compares to the light I was illuminated with...Any way I am curious as to what type of light this was....I want one!Anyone have any ideas??

i have a 1.5 million candlepower spotlight and it is VERY bright. it will easly light up things 1/4 mile away. i got mine about 3 years ago at walmart. now when i was at gander mountian lately i saw a 2 million candle power light. i know that my light draws 60 watts but im not sure how much current the 2 million candelpower one draws.
yes there are brighter ones out there now. they will blind a deer or any thing eles too.

I don't know what it was, but at least it wasn't a small red dot with some psycho behind it!

Just got back from wal mart and they have a series of driving lites called "blue Diamond" that claims to have a purer light through a blueish lens...Also found a search and rescue rechargeable lantern online claiming to be the worlds brightest @ 4 million candlepower with a 1900.00 price tag and 300.00 for the replacement bulb!!!I'm thinking Cabelas and their 2 million cp unit for 79.95 now!

It was probably a Xenon light. I know they sell them for ATVs now. Just don't remember who makes them.

Please read the attached URL for a Xenon FAQ. A true xenon system will cost $900-$1000. The bulbs sold as "xenon" do not come close in kelvin tempature. They are all halogen bulbs with a 'filament'. Xenon bulbs do not have a filament.

Zorro,
Although not true xenon, Piaa does offer their "super white" bulb. They are not cheap!
Hope this helps, I think Hella also make these bulbs. Hella also has an HID system.
