Thanks Colt, I will. I didnt buy an extended warranty when I bought the bike, I can get it cheaper through another dealer. So are you referring to the registration of the factory warranty or were assuming I bought the extended already? Thanks

 

yes it would be when they registered the unit itself that is when your warranty begins if it was a questionable dealer they might wait a couples of days so they can say you declined the warranty and then they can take the discount polaris gives for not taking the extended warranty and tack that on as additional profit in their pockets. if you dont ask yee shall not recieve!!!

 

Colt. Sent you a PM. Appreciate you checking on that for me. I called Polaris and they said the offer started 11/1 and is good until the end of the year. They recommended I contact my dealer and see what they can do for me.

This is the second quad I have purchsed through this dealer so I hope they are able to take care of me. At this point it is hard for me to believe they didnt know this offer was coming down the line (the next day). Its not like I walked in off the street and bought on the 31st, I had been talking to them for some time and gave them notice I would be coming in this date to buy. Would have been nice for them to let me know by waiting a day I would qualify for this offer. Unless they didnt know but how likley is that?

I called my dealer, was told these promotions come to them through the internet and they usually wont know about them until that very morning. So I asked them if they could check with Polaris and see if I might "squeeze in" on this promotion since I missed it by ONE DAY. Dealer doubted it but said he would contact Polaris about that and would check on any other promotions or incentives available at the time I bought and call me back. Called back, said no on the warranty promotion, or any others (no surprise) but that he would sell me the equivalent warranty (30 mos "Protection Plus" $50 deductible) for his cost, $510.00.

So, one day is going to cost me $500 but what am I going to do.

 

did your Dealer in fact post your ATV delivered the day before? sometimes they wait untill the next day.
it's my understanding that the Dealer gets a cash rebate IF the customer doesn't take the 3 years. i'll bet you $200 they are lying and pocketed the cash-back money. it's just too tempting, and the Dealer is out to make as much off of you as they can. i wouldn't believe a word they say.

and by the way, the dealer cost of the Warranty is only $249 so they certainly are NOT doing you any favors at $510.

Does anyone know if the Polaris Warranty is transferable?

 

I really dont know when they posted my sale, not sure how to find out without asking and I dont think theyre about to tell me if they did post a day later, at this point. Im kinda doubting this "same day" notification of the promotion too, Im sure they have signs and stuff they display to advertise that type of thing. Not sure what my next move is going to be........thanks for your input.
