Ill be purchasing an extended warranty before too long, and I think I can purchase it from any dealer? So I'd be interested in info from anybody that has recently purchased one and what they paid, particularly if its less than the $510 for the 3 year/$50 deductible quoted me by my dealer. Happy New Year!

I wrote Polaris a letter explaining my situation and asking, although I understood they were not obligated in any way, to consider extending this warranty promotion to me since I missed the "magic" purchase date by ONE DAY. I gotta give them credit for responding, and pretty quickly I might add, but no surprise, they thanked me for my input but declined to extend me the promotion.
Im not going to straight out bash Polaris, but I gotta say I think a little consideration would have gone a long way with me, would have certainly made me a loyal customer for life. I would rather be on this forum talking them up and praising their over and above customer service. Im not saying Ill never buy Polaris again, nor do I neccessarily think another manufacturer would have given me this (but they might have) but this experience will be a consideration when I go to buy again. I know, its not like Im out anything this was a promotion to attract customers, but this is my second Polaris ATV and what about taking care of current customers when you can? Would have cost them next to nothing for an awesome word of mouth reputation.

that tells me LOUD and CLEAR just how little Polaris values your business. TTMO to another brand ATV.

I hear ya. Having some difficulty feeling completely satisifed right now, but Ill be keeping my '06 Predator LE for awhile so I am going to need a warranty. No, I dont think I could stand to give Polaris more $ right now (almost $14,000 already for 2 ATV's in the last 2 years) so any info on where to purchase an extended warranty & for how much would be appreciated.........

and by the way, the dealer cost of the Warranty is only $249 so they certainly are NOT doing you any favors at $510.
that's a pure INSULT.
hell of a way to treat a loyal customer!

I believe the 30 month extended warrany was $489 /$50 deductable at my dealer. Not a bad deal if you ask me.Thats under $200 a year. You could spend that easily on parts if something were to happen. If i were you i wouldnt be too sour about them not cutting you a break. They have to draw the line somewhere.Besides that, its not like the deal came and went with no advertisement.I do feel bad that you missed it but life sucks sometimes.

will Polaris send a statement every month with the option of sending some dough?

I read the fine print of the extended warranty though, do not get your hopes up, it leaves a lot to be judged by Polaris. so we will see.

Is the fine print available online? Can you share it or at least the jist of it?

I bought my 42 month warranty online here in '04.
LA Cycle Sports
I didn't purchase from this dealer. It is in CA and I am in WA. It already paid for itself with a complete replacement of the front end gearcase. Parts and labor were right at $1K.
