I AM GOING TO TRY A WHITE SPRING IN MY 98 EXPLORER. I WAS GOING TO ORDER IT FROM DENNIS KIRK BUT NOW IM NOT SURE WHICH ONE I NEED. PRIMARY DRIVE CLUTCH SPRINGS DONT COME IN WHITE BUT THE SECOUNDARY CLUTCH SPRINGS DO. WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT PRIMARY OR SECONDARY? ALSO NO LISTING FOR A UNIFILTER FOR A EXPLORER SHOULD I LOOK SOMEWERE ELSE? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I would assume Dennis Kirk carries EPI springs. If so, get a EPI red primary spring. In side by side comparisons they are identical to the Polaris white spring. I believe they are made in the same place , or so they appear .

Or you could just order it from RcR racing by calling 1618-644-3211.Rick has the white springs. You need the primary spring,
Bill

So Rick, I hear that the Polaris white spring is the hot setup for a Sportsman 500. Is this your opinion also? If so, how much $ and do you have them in stock?

According to the DennisKrik website they carry Erlandson Performance sprngs.
Thanks,
Gsport500

What does changing the secondary spring do? Performance wise, that is?

Also, I second the motion to call Rick. Nice guy & answers all your questions.

You can do a lot to your back clutch springs, roller helix ect.Less belt slipage means more power to the back tires.
