Predator big bore question
Ok, I now know its 558cc
Will it be safe to just bore the cylinder?
Must I re-sleeve?
Whats is the biggest you can go without re-sleeving?
I have mine torn apart now cause of a broken piston at 20hrs on brand new 04 engine that Polaris gave me for my 03 TLD Pred. Yes, I never drive it.
14 hours was just sitting brake burning tapped out in 5th gear until it would get so hot it would quit. Then cool off and do it again. Yes, I'm amazed also it last that long seeing as it would be boiling fluid each time also.
I don't plan on doing this the second time around by the way. lol
thanks.
Adrian

Predator big bore question
Quad is stock. I figured the reason it would burn out till it quit was because there was not enough air flowing through the rad with just the fan running and not any extra air from the bike actually moving.
Guess I'll either leave it stock or find a sleeve also.

well if your just sitting there doing a burn out with your engine rev near maxed out then of course your going ot have cooling problems. but if your running it hard and fast then there shoudlent be a problem at all. the fan comes on alot because its set to come on at a lower tempature to keep the engine cool. i have no idea why your piston cracked though if thats it though
