Default Need to replace rear shock?

I have an 04 magnum 330 2wd and I just put a rear flat rack on the back of it. I think I need to replace the rear shock. To be honest I am a little rough when I ride, mostly hunting, scouting, making my own trails to possible future hunting sites,etc... What rear shock would be recommended without hurting the wallet to bad? Also how difficult is it to replace it on my own? Special tools?
Thanks in advance for replies,
David

just get a replacement Sachs shock from your dealer, lift the quad up, undo the top mount and lower mount bolts, take the shock out, put the new one in, put the bolts in and use a torque wrench and put it at the reccomended tightness and you should be set
