i have a 1999 scrambler 400 4x4 with full race mods run on 105 octane fuel, hsp exterminator race kit and i've blasted 2 engine yet,the engine broke like plate for too high compression,i've bored my motor to .080 also with 14.1 billet heads.it's a blast to ride but it only take 2 hours to broke up!the scrambler 400 is not a high performance quad.

Did you do the work yourself?
Work like that should be done by engine builders.

I've never had a problem with my HPD Pipe for my Scrambler 500. It really helped low end power. I would recommend one of those.

A 42 is a modified 38 TMX . On a flow bench it flows no more air than a standard 38TMX.

Do this . Change your needle to a #55 , and drop to a 10 to 15 pilot , and remove the dial a jet , see if that doesn't help things .
