Hi all............

Was just surfing through the forums and found a post that stated his dealer told him that to maintain the factory warranty he had to go into the dealer and have a mandatory $350.00 10 hour service.

My dealer just scratched his head and said to follow the manual's schedule and lube specs and keep receipts for the oils/filters/greases etc. Anyone here have any other experiences on this?? Thanks

 

yea i read that as well and thought that was wrong. since i do my own service work i havent had any warr. voided because they didnt service the machine. unless this new??

 

The dealer is preying on the ignorant, only concerned about making a buck. I'd avoid that dealer at all cost.

 

$350 for the 10 hour service is a huge rip off.

I do the exact same thing the dealer does and use better fluids and do it RIGHT for less than half that.

Some dealers are just 100% criminals.

 

thats right cornbeard. most dealers think we're all stupid or get do even simple maint.

 

I'm glad that others feel as I do. I have always bought used till now, so have no experience at warranties.
I was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF for 23 years-give me the manual and get out of the way!!!!!!!!

My experience with mechanics at most dealerships is not good for sure...........thanks for the replies.
