I am new to this have only had a quad for about a month now. I read in the manual that I got with it that the liquid cooled 400 scrambler (1995) had a counterbalance. I looked for the dipstick and only found a bolt in its place. I took it out ( Quite a job to get at it. ) and it had no dipstick on it. My question for all of you in the know does this engine have the counterbalance or not. If it does I guess I will have to buy the dipstick and fill it correcttly with oil.

3 oz of 10 w 30 in the hole so yes it has a c balancer.

 

It does have a counter balance .

The dipstick is on the rear of the motor . Below the carburetor to the right .
