Another belt question?
Hi all,
I have a 95 Polaris Explorer 400,4x4 that I got used,it normally runs, looks and preforms great, until last weekend lol.
I started having a bit of trouble shifting into forward,it kinda grinds now where it didnt before.
I had Spinal Fusion surgery in Sept so I havnt been able to ride for awhile but now it's snow season and Im going to need to plow soon!
It didnt start the grinding until it got cold,I moved it in and out of the garage with no problems the last few months and it was normal, would a worn belt make this happen?
I took the cover off and the cogs look great but the top of the belt is really cracked and gouged in places but the grooves it rides in are smooth and dont seem to have any problems according to the manual,I never replaced a belt before so basically that why Im asking,is this normal?
Thanks for the help,
Russell
