03 TB 250

I have an 03 TB250. It's 14 degrees outside right now. I went to start my TB250 in the garage today and it sputtered alot. There was more smoke than usual coming from the muffler and when I turned it off after about 3 mins. I noticed oil on the floor below the muffler. As though it had been shot out of the muffler. I inspected the muffler and there was oil all around the inside of the end pipe of the muffler. Anybody know what may have caused this. Is it just because of the cold weather. I didnt ride it, just cranked it up in order to save the battery. I didn't start it up all last winter and I had to replace my battery. Thanks

Just thought about something. With this being an oil injected unit. Why would there be so much oil coming out of the muffler. And it was black not blue like the color of the oil. Also I smelt gas, something that I dont normaly do. It was on full choke and I was goosing the thumb lever in order to get it to idle down. It finally did Idle down with the choke all the way off. The color of the smoke was greyish white. Thanks
Just thought of something else. The last time I rode. I was concerned that I wasnt going through enough oil and added oil to the correct oil/gas ratio to the gas. I only used about half a tank. The oil/gas mixture is still in the quad. Could that be the reason. Also my oil injector is still hooked up. The reason that I added oil/gas mixture is because I wanted to make sure that my quad engine was getting enough oil. Now I think that maybe it was to much. I'm gonna syphon that mixture out before I ride next. And put straight gas back in it.

watzupdog,
The 250 will use very very little oil. It may seem like the oil tank is not going down much but this is normal. The plug may be fouled now because of the extra oil and the cold. If you premix and let it sit the oil will seperate and go to the bottom of the tank. Drain the gas tank out, put in fresh oil replace the plug and I bet it will run fine. If you dont want the battery to go dead get a cheap charger from walmart and let it trickle charge while not in use.
