I thought I could run a long extension cord.. You know how many extension cords I can buy for the cost of an inverter? On the other hand running an inverter with a really heavy 12 battery bungy corded onto the front of the Trailblazer might just be the trick to add weight to the front end to keep it on the ground.. you know.. all that power.. Hey Grizzman42.. Since you are the undisputed expert on cows on this thread, maybe you can explain something to me. When I was younger, I would ask my dad if I could drive his 383 Cuda. His answer was always when cows fly. So whats up with that anyway. When do cows fly?

No way am I picking on the 250. I have two Trailblazer 250s. One for me and one for my wife. We love our quads and I wouldn't trade them for anthing else. At this point in time, I don't see another quad that I would prefer to have.

But boy would it be neat to turbo one of these 250s eh?

Turbo? I'm not even sure a turbo works with a 2 stroke. Never heard of it myself. If you want more top end, it's out there. I'm looking for GRUNT.

Here is a guy that put twin turbos on an 800 Skidoo Summit. Twin Turbos and here is the link to the thread that talks about it Thread

The 800 skidoo is a twin cylinder two stroke that puts out about 140 HP stock. So turboed would be a killer!

Polish the top of the piston, the head and the eshaust port to a mirror finish and add a flywheel weight. That should help. Does your quad use reed valves? if so there may be some after market reeds that would help too.

I don't think my bike has reeds. I'm still trying to figure out why and how it operates without them. I was under the impression that they acted like a valve (hence reed valve) and added in intake and combustion. Mystery to me. I was considering a higher compression piston, but havn't found one yet. I could have the head shaved to raise compression, but I'm not sure. Do you have any advice on how to polish? I've learned the Polaris 250 gets a big hp gain from porting, but the dynos I've seen all show gains in top end hp. Not really too interested. Rick Ritter makes a neat bottom end pipe that I'm seriously considering. I'm mainly after that initial blast off the throttle. Where I ride, it's just too tight and too rough to get going over 40mph. Anyway, thanks for the help.
