My 330 does a little over 50 mph so if you cant reach that then something is wrong.

 

330 over 50mph? Sorry , having a hard time picturing this... Scrams should run above 60stock. My sporstman runs 58 and a bit more on a good day.

 

A simple spring change and you can get 50+ mph out of a 330.The pink EPI primary spring gives you the added top rpm to get a decent top speed.

 

I use to have a Scrambler 400 and I could get 61MPH on my GPS
My friend has a 02 500 Scrambler and with my GPS and a flat road he hits 59MPH

Has far as racing the 400EX another friend we ride with has a stock 02 400EX and up tell around 35 to 40MPH it's a close race after that the 400EX will pass. But on a side note my Scrambler would pass him and leave him in the dust going up long step hills even if I was only using 2 wheel drive to equal out the race.

 

I know the pink spring does wounders to the 330, but never heard nor seen a spring in the primary do such a dramatic effect on top speed. Ohh well, learn something everyday!!!

Check your belt if your scrambler only gets 45mph. my 01 will go about 65 bone stock. if you bought the bike used it might be just that simple.
