My 2000SP500 tranny vent line went into the dry/box. I rerouted it into the airbox.

silverado, Polaris is learning! Thats where all your vent lines should go. Guess you won't have to take the time to do it yourself. Remember to vent the radiator overflow up high also if you plan on swamping with your new ride!

silverado, I'm not sure of the best way but, here is what I did. I modified a grease zerk fitting by drilling out the center. Next I drilled out the small vent hole in the cap to the right size and threaded the fitting into the cap. I then found the right size line at the hardware store. I routed the line up to the frame rail and up into the headlight pod. I tucked the end several inches down the steering stem, so if it ever overheated the boil over wouldn't hurt anything. The only problem I had was keeping the line on the fitting I solved this by wiring the hose to the fitting. Hope this helps.

basically thats how its done except, you can buy a brass fitting that is ribbed and made to accept rubbuer/clear tubing, that way you dont have to worry about it falling off and you wont have to zip tie it

I put a ice maker's compression fitting and drilled it into the cap and then ran the line up to the pod. The compression fitting holds onto the line good and the fitting has threads on the other side to seal the cap. Worked great and took about 10 minutes to do. Any hardware store carries these.
