Anyone have a belt slip at all yet? I have about 100 miles on my 2 week old bike, but haven't tried running the rivers yet. Im a little gunshy. Have any of you guys run into any slippage yet? Im tired of shying away from the deep water.

Just enter the water slow and keep it moving. You'll be fine in water up near your seat. When you enter the water fast, it splashes up to the snorkle sometimes. That's when you'll get your belt wet most often. Been there, done that, got the pictures...

Belt slippage, can and does happen with ALL belt drive quads. No matter what other people say. I've experienced it and so have many other people, Just as you have. Although usually mileage is the key factor. Perhaps you have a bad seal? Take a look at it and take the necessary precautions to prevent it from happing again.

i have a 2000 non ho SP and i have 1700 mles on it been in water up over the front rack never had belt slippage. It seriously is an overblown issue, yes i have seen a belt slip he dunked the machine in 6 feet of water it was totally submerged. The belt slipped. but that is the only time in all the years i have riden with Polaris machines that i have seen it happen. Trust me ride in the water have fun, worry none.

I've had mine slip 1 time on the HO. That was after hitting the water as hard as I could, TRYING to get it to slip. Made about a ten foot wall of water. The belt didn't slip until I shut it down, about 30 seconds after the splash. I'm sure that if I'd kept moving, it would have dried out and wouldn't have slipped.
My Scrambler, now that's another story. Even a little splash will get that one slippin'.
It IS the splashes. It's not that uncommon to see the front end float up, and still not slip. Just hit it slow, and stay on the gas.
