Why does every tom, dick, and harry have to come over from the import boards and feel obligated to bash on polaris?

Just for night soil and giggles I went over to their boards and couldn't find any of the same stuff that we deal with on an almost daily basis.

Anybody got a logical answer? I'm confused.

I don't get it either, I have a 660 Grizz, and my two riding buddy's both have 700 Sportman's and I respect these machine's very much, we all have a blast riding here in the desert, It to me is all about going out and having fun, I don't even care which one is faster, or has more HP. We all blaze through the same hills and trails with the greatest of ease!!

 

The reason? Easy, Polaris has the biggest share of the market. In sales terms, it's called "killing" the completion. In internet terms it's called something like "mind share". I've see this often on many places on the internet. I believe some posters are paid to do nothing more then post bogus bad reports on the competitions products, here and other places on the net. These companies recognize the power of a "bad" word on these forums. Who is to know if the posting is true or a lie? All they have to do is to plant the seed of doubt about the competitions products and if one scans a forum such as this and sees lots of bad reports, well... what conclusion would you come to. When it comes to sales, money, etc. who cares about "truth"? Truth is what you make the suckers believe.

As for Polaris and the others, it's like this: There is only one Jeep. There is nothing like a Jeep wrangler for off-road use. It has been proving and refined over the years, and has been around the longest. Lots of 'others' now. Some faster, smaller, thinner, cheaper, etc, etc. Only one wrangler. It is so successful, not on one item, the vehicle as a package simple works. So it is with Polaris, the vehicle as a package simple works and very well. Others will say we are better here or there, but as a package how well does it really work. Have ridden KingQuads, compared to my 800 efi, well... as a package it doesn't come close in handling to the 800. This is what most reviewers miss, the overall package.

 

Check out the Honda forum over at High Lifter. They have a fair share of problems with their quads. Just imagine if those guys had the same power, G.C. and true 4X4 systems as everyone else.
