Wait, was there a call back about this issue, or just something to look out about.. because i have an '04 Pol Sp 700... if its just something to lookout for, thats pretty scary. I feel bad about that skinner241, hope your situation turns out as good as it possibly can.

They had a recall on the throttle cable, it was too short and when you turn the bars all the way in one direction, it would open up the throttle and make the bike shoot forward. Also they ran one of the fuel lines between the tank and the frame, causing it to rub the hose and eventually cutting the line. I know the throttle cable was a recall, and the fuel line was something the dealer replaced because they had a couple of bikes in there with the same issue. My fuel line was about half way cut through from rubbing on the frame. It was on the left side of the tank/frame.

Also, by buddy has the same bike and he has had the fuel line pop off the connector while riding, spilling fuel. I would guess that's what happened to mine.

You may want to check it out or keep an eye on it. If you lose throttle, keep an eyeball out for flames and check your fuel line.

I am afraid that I have to agree, I had issues with the junk stock tires, overheating problem, and the whole fuel line fire. I got my pics resized, thanks to pol2stroke, and have put them in my gallery.

Still waiting on insurance adjustors report.

I didn't think that they made 700 EFIs until 2005, but perhaps I am wrong?
