When you said it burnt to the ground, you ment it! Outside of the seat there is nothing you can even salvage. I hope insurance treats you right. Thanks for the post. I'm going to check the fuel line on my SP 400 just to see how it's secured.

I take it your going to HAVE to go through your insurance and not polaris... Have your insurence go after polaris and see if they can get your deductible back for ya. Seems legal assistence would be helpfull here and im sure your insurance company will help ya out..

Good News. I got a letter from my insurance--Merkel Insurance through Polaristar--they are going to give me a little over $6000 for my bike. Deduct my $500 deductible and I will get around $5500 to me. It's enough to pay it off and get a little cash back.

Thanks to everyone for the help, and make sure to check your fuel lines and spend a dollar on some hose clamps so you don't have the same problem.

Good time to buy a Kawasaki. They don't burn down, they just burn rubber.

LOL! good one Gunner! (and quite tastefully written!)

actually, i've owned about 4-5 700EFI's and had no problems at all.

it's a good solid ATV..........although there will always be one bad one out there!

Just noticed all the mods to your Polaris. Friend's got a honda with similer mods, Nothin but problems from it since. Axles, brakes, hubs, clutches rear end, front end, etc. Seems like alot of stress on any brand when you push the design to the limits. No rudeness intended.

That seems to be his answer to anyone that has problems with their Polaris. No rudeness intended.
