Default Made in ???

#1 I love my 250xplorer.
#2 There are JAP bikes out there bigger, better, faster, cheaper
#3 The only reason for this is because we choose to benefit from the global consumer economy as consumers. We want the cheapest good stuff available.

Question:

If a company was to produce an ATV that was entirely bed and bred in the USA, motor, tranny, everything, and it outperformed everthing JAP could throw out at ot, would you still buy the JAP bike to save $599?

JAP bikes are deffinatly better as in quality but sometimes theyre bigger, sometimes theyre faster and sometimes they are cheaper. every manufacturer has had they biggest or best or fastest or cheapest atv at some point in time. but seeing new machines come out every year its hard to pick out the best of the best. As for the question if a atv was made 100 percent in the USA and was reliable and the price was right i would buy it. But it seems with american ATVs you pay a lot more than 600 bucks in repairs so i would not spend the extra 600 for a peace of crap. i know honda and the rest of the JAP bikes have major problems sometimes but polais and AC seem to have more and you guys know it

you finding out your engine was made by Fuji is really bothering you isnt it?

I would rather work on my American made junk that pay half for an import. . .That was the philosophy of who? JAP crap breaks, and guess what, cost and payers says, money is as money does. . . America had an economy once. . . then a consumer said "What if I could save a buck by investing in a foreign product?"

If every thing in you question came true..........I would go USA all the way!!!!!!
BUT..... in the real world the Jap bikes are cheaper, faster, and last longer that what the USA produces. In my opinion the UNIONS pretty well killed the USA as a player in the market! There is very little "Pride" in our products today!

I have been a feild service tech for 13 years. I vist a differant company every day. Union and Nonunion. They both are over ran by guys and gals that do not want to work and put out poor quality every day there on the job. Not all are like this but more than few. Age does not matter lazy habits are tought by the older workers to the new youger ones. The Union shops just have more power at being lazy!

Note not all workers are like this! But the ones who are need to wake up!

I know corprorate big brother has pulled many companys and shipped them overseas, some times it is for greed and others its to survive!

If this offended you your most likey the lasy one!

#1 Buy US when you can.
#2 Take pride in your job.

Any Union and or non Union comments need to be verified. If you slam a Union, you need to state your position and why. Same for non-Union. I will not tolerate someone slamming a trade who does not work in it. Same as a Monday morning quarterback and you know it. I AM UNION and in my trade I AM THE BEST. IBEW 596. Next guy that slams a Union better be packing the facts, because I AM. Might as well start slamming Constitutional Rights while you're at it. GRRRRR!!!!!!

first of all this isnt a place to debate unions or nonunions. there is good points and bad ones. i see it every day in the businesses i vist. but i buy a machine for what i want out of it not just because where its made. i love my polaris (mostly made in usa) but i couldnt find the same love in mybike that even comes close to what i want and need in performence department. you need to face the facts that some usa products are not even close to being in the same catagory as other mfg. just my 2 cents

As long as you agree that it doesn't matter to you who makes your quad, then that's fine. But to me it does. That's kinda the whole POINT!

I don't think slamming Unions is a good idea. If it wasn't for unions, you would be getting paid in rice. People don't realize that unions set the pay rate. Nonunion workers may get paid less, but if it wasn't for unions then nonunions jobs would get paid crap. I don't mind buying from other countries if they treat their people right, but we know a lot of them don't. That is why everyone is moving to china to cut labor cost. I don't think anyone in the U.S. can live on .17cents to our $10. So if you worked for $10 an hour, China would get .17 cents an hour. I think it would be a bitch to own a avg U.S. home of $400,000 on .17cents a hour. I think you should rethink what unions have done for this country.
