RCR Stage 1...results are in
Whew,
Finally got it put back together and took her for a spin. After 5.5 ours of install, half of which was jetting. You almost have to disassemble the whole thing just to get to the carb! I changed the main jet to 135 from 120 and I am at 5000 ft. here in Nevada.
So am I happy with the results?
Very much so, low end take off is much stronger and seems quicker all the way up the band. I took it to a large sand hill behind my house 300 ft climb and steep. Before the mods it would only make it when the sand was wet and then just barely. Today it pulled it with ease
To me that was the clincher, this is my wifes bike and she wanted to keep the bike but wanted to keep up with the pack. She was all grins after her test ride.
For what it worth, I give RCR a big thumbs up, quick delivery, gave me credit for my airfilter and threw in etra jets for my altitude. Only thing that I wish was better instuctions.
