Okay there not "headlights" there "daytime running lights" Either way they have lights where they used to not have actual lights. Check the VIN # on the quad at your dealer. The 10th # is the year it is. It should be a 17 digit #

 

The 05's do not have head lights that's why I bought the 06. BUT the are only daytime lights and when my son road for the first time in the dark, they don't have enough lumination to see. Kind of like a dead flash light. They are the 2 lower one only, the top light is fake. But my boy thinks it's cool

 

Maybe they mean the brake light!

My son also has an 05 SP90. I am getting the headlight kit from the dealer. The kit from the 06 SP and Pred 90 will fit all years. The SP90 part# is 2875768 and the Pred is #2875769. Both are around $80.00 from the dealers. I have read you can go with 7 or 12w bulbs without stator trouble. Good luck.

 

What's all included in this 80 dollar kit? My dealer's not open yet. Is there a stator upgrade in it? Is this kit just to upgrade the earlier years to the 06 configuration? If so, I think it'd make more sense to upgrade the stator to handle the draw of a pair of 35 watt lights. I don't think I'd want to spend 80 bucks to put some 7 or 12 watt lights on...kinda sounds like a half-a$$ way of doing it.
