Hawkeye 2X4 for the Wife
#11
The 4x4 at this point only comes in green or black but maybe you can work out a deal with your dealer on swapping it for red, only one decal is different between the 4x4 and 2x4. The ESC did end but got extended so that's a good thing, I definitely wanted that this being a first year quad for a little piece of mind. Hopefully I won't need to use it. The Haweye will make good hunting vehicle, there is some storage in the front rack like the Sportsman's, the lock n ride rear box and a front bag is also available.
I'll send you personal message on the mod....

Yea, I just noticed the 2x4 is the only one avail in red. Going to have to stick to the 2x or do like you said and change plastics. The wife is not concerned about the 4x4 as much as the red, but some of the places I hunt, I'm thinking 4x4 might be nice. And I printed out the Polaris web page on the no/no/no and ESC to take with me so I can educate the dealer...
Got your PM too. Good info, thanks again for the responses...

Powerslider, I just purchased a Hawkeye 4x4 and would be interested in the throttle response mod you found. Could you post? I have only gone one ride with it and everything seemed greatexcept I need to have my dealer do the high altitude tuning.

HI, We just bought a red 4X2 on 12/31. Got the no interest-payment deal til 2007. Paid $4,225.00 - out the door. So far we love it. We just trail ride and it's very nimble through the trees. I have a Suzuki Eiger 4X4 if I need extra traction but where we ride - I've never had to use it. Love that IRS on the Hawkeye and the digital gauges. Kids ride it with ease too.

Bumpin it to the front to see if anybody has anything else to add. Seeing allot of Hawkeye talk and most of it is very positive. Getting ready to pull the trigger here...can anyone add anything else?
Thanks...
