Default Really need a New Intake kit

hey guys, I just bought myself a new 500 le, my brother got the 500 tld, and my son got the a new ped 90 limited. Im new to quads and I read alot about how the predator intake system should be changed!
Im wondering if this is really necessary or should I ride for awhile and then change it. Saw an article in "dirtwheels" about the HOT SEAT intake kit, seems interesting but do I really need it. And if so, how hard is it to rejet the carb? Or is there other options to consider? Thanks for any feedback steve

Personally, I wouldn't change anything until it is good and broken in. After that, there are many options on intake to consider. Any of them will pretty much require rejetting of the carb, and if you don't have the right tools, it can be a PITA to get the screws off. After that, there isn't anything to it really.

As you can see in my signature, I did the direct clamp-on.
