I don't get that top speed stuff neither.
What I understand is that people want more and more hp. Do you know Tim Allen, that car tuner for who too much power isn't enough...that's me!!ahah.
I have a banshee, and the only thing that limits me in preparation is the price of all the goodies. Otherwise, I would already have a 680 turbo banshee. Sure it would be too powerful, but that's not what I feel when I smash the throttle wide open...
Power is understandable, but I go top speed maybe once per ride, maybe two, but that's it. But I always go as fast as I can.
That's what said I don't know who, there are 2 types of people, the racers, and the tourists. I'm a racer, looking for a victory on myself, not on someone else.

 

No I really wasn't pointing the finger at anyone or being critical.

I suppose I am a little bit the same way in other areas of my life. I collect and shoot AR15's and other high-powered rifles and guns. There is something about always trying to improve a rifle even if it is allready shooting sub MOA and you know it can outperform almost anything on the line. I actually do find proof in the pudding through competition though.

But how many of us race or actually need absolute top end speed other than for bragging rights? I guess the bug just hasn't touched me there yet as I don't have the pocketbook for it and just enjoy getting there the most and it deosn't have to be fast.

Still tickles me like some of you have said when umbelievable stats are thrown out. I've been recieving enough lies from the Democrats!!!

Come on lighten up everyone, enjoy the sport and promote it for the better nomatter what your niche and nomatter how fast you go be safe.
