Default X2

Well I went to my local Polaris dealer this weekend, to check on the arrival of the X2, I walked in the shop and sitting right in front of me was the X2. What a nice looking machine. They only had the one in for the moment, but more where on the way. This one was the black and silver. I really like the seat design, very ingeneious, the only thing I would like to see in it is the 700 twin, it is a big machine and I think the extra power would be nice. They would not let me take it for a spin, since it was there only one they had at the moment. I also looked at the Hawkeye, nice unit, I am planning on getting the X2 with the hawk. I am just debating if I want to pick up the very first X2 or wait and see what kind of reports come in.

Your dealer must be an ***. Mine will let me test drive anything any time.

I guess my dealer's the same way...they have to have some kind of "open house" thing going on to let anyone test drive anything new...they won't put any fluids into any machine before they're purchased otherwise.

That's awesome that your dealer lets buyers test drive atv's prior to making a purchase decision! It sure would have been helpful when buying my wife's magnum...I think if she would have had the opportunity to drive the sportsman 400 or 500, she'd have gotten it. Oh well...another couple years...and she'll upgrade.

BTW...where's your dealer? If it's in range...I'd like to take my family there to test ride a couple different machines...

i seen a memo from polaris that the x2's that are being released at this time do NOT have the 4 wheel braking system on them they said they were not ready to release the ones with the 4 wheel brake system as to an issue with them and they were going to release the first wave with the old 4wd system if you want the engine braking then wait till spring but make sure your getting what you think you are!!!!!!

Ya here at my buddies dealership in CT you can test drive anything you want. As long as he knows you and your not a skeezball, or under 6.(CT law is that you must be 6 years old to ride an atv alone). Within the last week I drove a x2 and a Outy 800 max. Tell ya right now I would not even think about buying a Outy. The whole electrical/ security system scares me. We ride alot of mud up here and I think this brake setup would be bad. Yea it is faster than the x2 but the x2 handles alot better. Even my 700 handles better on the trails. Plus the x2 says POLARIS on it. (only machines I will ever buy)

I share your enthusiasm for Polaris...I've yet to see a machine that can go and do where and what these can!
