New Predator Owner
Hey everyone
Picking up a new 05 Predator Red tonight.
It's too cold to ride but it will be sitting in the shop looking pretty till spring.
Now i need one of the moderators to change my name from Raptor to Predator. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

My friend got a Predator in 03 same year i got my 03 raptor.
I have 100's of hours on both at pits on trails jumping you name it.
The Predator is a better machine all the way around. I know you Raptor boys will get all mad about this but hey I owned a raptor for two years.
and I put 2+ 1 up A-arms on it 4+ axle and then they handled pretty close but the pred still felt a bit more stable and i liked the smoother power band where the raptor was a bit jerky on the low end.
it was a great machine don't get me wrong, but the predator is still a better machine (i'm talking about a 660 here)

Welcome to the pred life. your compalints is the reason I picked the pred over the raptor.( I was lucky that the dealer let me try both out back to back.) Congrats on your new pred, but now its time for the fun stuff------Mods!!! definatley get the drop in K&N air filter , the extra response you get just from that little Cheap mod is well worth it!!!

They are supposed to be the same, but the conscience will tell you the power on the '05 is better than the '03. The ergonomics are also allot different. They also made changes to the tranny after they worked out some bugs in the '03's. That may also contribute to better power delivery in the newer models.
