New 400L Owner...Question
I just brought home a 1996 Polaris 400L racing quad. Man, I'm stoked. Thanks to all who answered my questions before my purchase. This is a great forum. I do have another question. I did a search on this site for "pre-mixing" but I am confused about the pro and cons of the different ratios. The guy I bought my 400L from said he mixes 52 to 1. I went down to the Polaris dealer and he didn't agree, he thought I should be mixing 32 to 1 or maybe 40 to 1. My quad is far from stock. I did fill my tank using the dealers recommendation of 32 to 1 but man it's now a smoker. The goodies I have on it is: if this helps.

Can anybody clear this up for me. What ratio should I use for a 1996 Polaris 400L racing quad using 93 octain fuel?
Thanks guys. Rock on!
