twisted the input shaft right off in the differential.
there is nothing to grab onto at all.
how shall i get it out to replace it?
ive got an old dummy shaft locked in for now, so i can ride in 3wheel drive if i need to.
im lost.

Grind a flat spot in the center of the shaft with a Dremal or grinder, then use a center punch to make a punch mark, then drill with a tiny drill bit and work your way up in bit sizes, then tap the hole for an eye bolt. Tie some wire to the eye bolt then tie the other end of the wire to the head of a three pound hammer, then swing away.

If you still can drive in three wheel drive, are you sure your talking about the input shaft and not an axle. If its an axle take out the other side and pound it out from the other side with a brass rod. I reread your post. just take out the other side and pound it out
