Bobcet I could be wrong on this but. Your machine is an 05 700. I think in 05 they upgraded the primary in your quad. I think it already is like the 800's The center is smaller for lower gearing off the start........I have been known to be wrong though...

 

The part number for my 05 700 primary is 1321971, and the part number for a 05 800 primary is 1321971 according to polaris. It seems like the same but with different weights and spring.

 

You got it. I have a service book of the 05's it showes an exploded view of the primary of both quads. The 700 looks to be different. It has some different parts in it. If I were to put my money on it. I would venture to say this one for the 700 in this book is pre 05. It wouldn't be the first thing in this book that wasen't what it was supposed to be.

From what I have been reading. People are buying the 800 primary and putting Heal Clicker springs and weights in it.

 

in 2006 the 500's and 700's recived the 800's primary clutch, 2005 they still had the old clutching

 

Has any body put a 05 800 primary in a 05 700. Using the stock springs and weights form the 700.If so how did it work, and did the early 05 have a different clutch than the later 05s. If someone could cxlear it up it would be helpful because I have the $ to get one if it is worth it.

Ok so how much should a guy expect to pay for this 800 primary?

If I have a 05 700 carb and want to do this should I put a 06 800 primary on it or a 05 800 primary?
