heated hand grips???

Heck yes they are totally worth it. I have the Polaris brand, thumb and grip heater. Paid $100 for the set. Totally awsome. Easy to install. Just take a air compressor and put it to the right grip hole, hold your finger on the left grip hole and pop some air in and the grip pops off. Clean the handle bar off, peel and stick the grip, wire up a ground, tap into the switched ign, and wire up the hi/low switches, drill a hole in the pod for the switches, (I put mine in the far upper corners)
One thing i noticed the last ride is Polaris must have messed up on their wiring diagrams. The low wire was stated as being a blue color only, the high was a blue w/ red stripe. I hooked everything up as it said. The low setting was scalding hot. I tested it out last time and ran it on high. Well turns out high is low and low is high. So something is screwed.
The last ride we went on the temp outside was under 30 deg. I was in a set of carharts, sweatshirt, & a coat. Wearing a set of thin leather driving style gloves. The grips kept me hands really warm. They are nice.
I also looked at the grips that had the elements built into the grip and didnt care for them at all. I am happy with the popo brand ones. P

Hi;
Just installed a Kimpex hand and thumb warmer set on the wife's TB330, WOW they get seme warm. They are the ones that go under your present grips. Getting them back on was fun, as it was cold out, but I heated the second one up and it was alot easier than the first. Was wondering if anyone has installed the thumb warmer as I used electrical tape to attach it to the throttle, but it gets that hot that it is melting the adhesive off the tape. Price was decent at $50 for both, at the dealer.
Thanks

Go to lowes or home depot in the electrical department and buy a package or wire insulator shrink wrap. it is made to insulate a connection on a wire. You slide it over the wire, make the connection and slide it over the connection, then take a hair drier and heat the wrap and it shrinks over the wire
