Love Winter

Awesome Snowrider, another fellow atv snow rider! In my neck of the woods in Ontario, they don't ban atv's, it's just that nobody has the basketballs to go out in sub -30 Celsius weather without a windshield in front of their sled. I rode my new (2000) Sportsman all last winter on the trails around here, just had to laugh at all them speed demons, 'cause they'll be parked come Spring, and I'll be driving mine year round. So It takes me a little longer to travel the snow, at least I can use mine year around!

I have the best of both worlds, a quad and snowmobiles, wouldnt give up either for the world.. Canada sounds like it has beautiful trails... I would like to snowmobile there and quad as well.. those trails just for the atv's in winter sound great!! part of the reason I bought another atv is cause here in Mi, the snow can be scarce at times, now I have something to ride year round as well.. love it

I agree that atvers get the short end of the trail. Here in MI there are far more sled trails then atv trails. I love sledding and don't think snowmoboles and atv would be a good mix, atvs makes ruts that the skis like to stick in. But I wish they would open the trails in the summer to atvers so you don't have to drive up north to ride.

It must get pretty cooled especially in Quebec.
I ride sleds a lot in Northern Maine, and I have to dress extremely warm because of the frequent sub zero (f) temps.. I agree riding trails in the winter on wheelers would be cool but I can only imagine the danger when you mix a slower quad such as the Grizzly with the rocket Thundercat on icy trails! Can you say plastic coated hamburger!

Just got back from riding in Quebec this weekend with someone I met on this website. Rode from Cowansville to St. Alphonse to Bromont, back to St. Alphonse and on up to Granby. Made it back to Cowansville well after dark. Great trail system. Tons of mud and water, most obstacles had bypasses. I have nothing like that here. At 45 minutes away, and $25 Canadian for a day pass (which is like a buck and change American funds) you can't beat it. Can't wait to develop the picture of us sitting in traffic waiting for the red light to change, with the police officer across the street watching traffic (leaving us alone!)
