Returned from Deer Hunting in Utah a couple weeks ago. I took my 2000 Sp 500 on the hunt. My father-in-law drove ahead in his pickup truck. Needless to say, I shot a nice four point with my new Remington 30.06 I got with my four wheeler last year as part of the Polaris promotion.

Here's the best part. My father-in-law was getting out his rope to start dragging the deer down to the truck. I told him to wait and I went and got my machine, picked my way through the cedar trees and drove right to where the deer was laying. Took his rope, lashed the deer on my rear rack and drove down the mountain back to camp.

He has been draggin deer off mountains for 30 years. His first comment when we met up again was "I need one of those!" He really likes my Polaris especially the automatic, but not so sure about the electronic 4wd system. He wants one with a manual operating lever. He's kinda funny about anything electrical.

rdr: I cann't understand why anyone would want to go out and shoot a deer. They don't do any harm to anyone. Beef is cheaper, and a cow is not as pretty as a deer. I bet you go out and catch fish and take them home to eat. Isn't there any stores where you live so you don't have to live off of the land?

Congratulations on the 4 point!!! What part of the state were you hunting? I spend some time in Fillmore and Scipio, when we can get there.

I got my buck last Wed, first since we moved back to Nevada, took 4 years to draw, nice 4 point also. Drew the area where we live, left home at 0530, back by 0800. Didn't even get a chance to unload the quad.
