Alcohol would be awesome but I have heard that you have to replace cranks pretty often. I've also heard it's hard to jet correctly for alky, what needs to be done to run alky?

I ran alcohol for a while, I could tell no difference and it's a pain to purge your motor if you ride a lot. Hey Handycap bring that monster down to little sahara the 1st weekend in May, we are having a big polaris get together!

You use a FAST BY GAST carb., there are no jets to replace or change. Its a power valve carb. Cranks aren't a problem, but lower cases can be without the case saver. Bubba297 built and designed this quad. For purging I use the oil injection tank filled with 110 octane race fuel and 20 to 1 BeNol oil. Just flip a valve on purge fuel, shut off Alcohol, turn the power valve down to one turn and run until she dies. I ran 70+ gallons of Alcohol this summer alone and just bought 110 gallons of VP Methanol for Glamis next month. And the engine runs so cool on those hot summer days, no fan, to much weight. Run a long drag race, shut down, stop and get off quad, grab cylinder and its cool to the touch. I run 40 to 1 BeNol and a little top end lube for Alcohol engines.

If you ride a lot no need to purge until the end of day. Just keep her running most of the time.
