just got an HSP chain tensioner and they did not send instructions.their site has em but without any pics.I searched forever here but with no avail.Anyone have one on their scrammy 500 4x4?????
Need help because it doesn't even seem like the spring is putting pressure in the right direction?!

 

I wish I could help you on the Hot Seat tensioner. I can't figure out how it would even mount by looking at the pic on the HSP site. I bought the HPD tensioner. The HPD one requires you to take off the plastic chain slide and cut off the mounting tab for it. The HPD mounts below the swing arm and pushes up on the chain. I haven't had any problems from it. If you can't get something worked out with it, I would send it back and get an HPD tensioner.

I got a hold of them today(home with a sick wife and child)and they are mailing me instructions with pics.

Turns out that it mounts to the frame at the pivot point,not the swingarm like the HPD.

 

I did read the post and seen your were asking about a Hot Seat tensioner but i figured they were the same basic design (as i remember seening it in the HSP catalog) and cannot imagine it mounting much different.
