Default Question on 500HO recoil.

I have a 06 500EFI and if I ride around for a half hour or an hour and then lift the pull rope up from the recoil I get a little rush of air that comes out. I am guessing that this is normal, probably a little pressure built up in the recoil from being cold and then warmed up. After I relieve the pressure the first time after riding for an hour it doesn't do it anymore even if I ride for another hour. Checking to see if any others with 500HO's do the same thing. Thanks.

Default Question on 500HO recoil.

I’ve never noticed that on the carbed models we’ve had. I guess pressure is better than suction, as long as it doesn’t blow the handle off and open your housing to the elements.

Default Question on 500HO recoil.

My SP 500 HO does the same thing. I never really thought anything of it but I am curious to find out what causes it and if it is a bad thing or normal.
