I believe the disks are for you to install depending on how much flow you want, then the solid end cap goes on last. I do believe it is a spark arrestor but not 100% sure.

Awesome, thanks for the response! I went to the supertrapp website because Aaen uses their accessories and i found where the discs tune the hp and torque. They are also the spark arrestor. Now, the heat shield that i use with it, does the wide side go up or toward the side? Sorry the questions.

Also, with tuning the muffler. More discs = more airflow, sound and hp? but remove some and the torque comes up and sound goes down? Thats what supertrapp says in their catalog. Thanks again.

The plate goes up and faces back so the heat from the exhaust does not melt plastic or paint. And yes you get more torque with less disks but better response and hp with more. Depending on what your needs are. If you race you need the hp if you hill climb you need torque. Do you have the supertrapp website? I would like to see the dyno curves.

I just went to supertrapp.com. Just found out that i dumped $40+ into Aaen's pocket. The 12 discs, heat shield and solid end cap cost me $100 throught Aaen. They are Supertrapp accessories!! The spark arrestor / tuning discs cost $69 at Aaen. Only $27 or so through supertrapp. the shield and end cap... $30, only 22 at Supertrapp. Plus, i have exhaust leaking on the muffler along the outside where there is an allen screw. This sucks already for me. I have to load this thing and it's late. This muffler is loud!!! right now. I'll wait til morning to **** off the neighbors. I wonder if i should leave it as is or put those tuning discs on tomorrow to quiet it down.

Does torque go up enough to put only a fewdiscs on and have the sound dbs knocked down or what?

I went threw the same crap you are. I finally put the stock one back on and it is just as good, actually better cuz it dont leak and it is no where near as loud! Your bike may have a more restrictive muffler than mine, meaning there muffler may work better on yours.
One piece of advise, if you send the muffler back make sure you use some kind of confirmed delivery. I didn't, they misplaced the muffler, i'm out the money and the muffler!
