Default Greasing u-joint

Stoped by the polaris dealership today and got some pure polaris all purpose grease. On my way out I notice u-joint grease. As I was already running late, I wasnt able to ask anyone if I could just use the all purpose stuff that I had bought to grease my u-joints. I have a Trailblazer 250. This will be my first time to grease it so want to do it right. So do I need to go back and get the u-joint stuff, or is it the about the same stuff. Thanks

I decided to just use the Mobil 1 Synthetic for the 3 points on my 500 HO...

After a little reserch and a little help from the fellas on a few sites, I decided it was the best way to go.

I can also use it on the rest of my equipmet that needs some greesen now and then.

It doesn't matter what you use, but I like to use Mobil 1 Synthetic, or Amsoil Synthetic. Good stuff.

if Polaris makes two different kinds of grease for two different applications they did so for a reason wouldn't you think, don't believe every thing you read on these forums.. wayout, out, " life's good "

Thanks for the responses. I called around to several dealers and asked also. They said that it wouldnt hurt to use on the u-joint. They said the main thing is to keep it greased. I forgot to ask if during a service check, what they used for the u-joint. I'm sure since I was talking to the mechanics, that they just use the same grease everywhere. Some of the guys even said that there was better brands to use. But I'll just stick with polaris brand for now. I called a couple of places around here to find some of the mobile one grease and all they carried was the big tubes of it, and I have a 3oz grease gun. Oh well I'll keep and eye out for it and get some later.

I payed $7.60 OTD for a 4 pack of polaris grease. Thats like a $1.90 a tube. The u-joint stuff was $2.49 before tax. So not that much of a diff.
When I went to go put grease in today. None of my joints would except it.
I might be wrong for this. But when I went to go attach the grease gun to the zerk fitting. It wouldnt go on. So I loosen the attachment on the gease gun, then it just popped right on. But like I said. The sp90 wouldnt take any. Maybe its just still full.
I wonder where the old grease goes, its gota go somewhere in order for you to put more in. One of those things that make you go hhhhmmmmmmmmmm.

I think the differences among the grease types relate to the waterproofness.

Amsoil grease has a excellent water-washout resistance.
