Hey guys-
I've eliminated my oil injection and am trying to convert my throttle cable to a single cable. I disassembled the cable at the splitter and removed the cable going to the injection. Now I need to shorten the cable by almost 1" inside the carburator. Anybody ever done this or have ideas on how it could be done? Thanks.

 

Well I know you USED to could go to a hardware store and get cable repair kits, I tried to do mine on my old trailblazer and the hardware place said they didnt have them any more, You may luck up, Also try a bicycle shop they may have something. I tried the dealer about using a cable for a 4 cycle motor but no luck there.

 

Honestly, If I were you I would spend the $30.00 on a single throttle cable from HPD or Rick Ritter, because it's the last thing you want when racing or riding for your throttle cable to break or even stick. just my $.02

A single cable sells for $35 , bite the bullet and buy it . If a throttle cable sticks and the polaris is in gear it it going to be gone like Elvis . It may hurt someone , or destoy a bunch of property .

Don't risk it .
