05 Predator Stering Stem Bent
#1
I have a steering stem that was bent bad in a roll over. I bought a Roll Design after market stem and mount but there is no was to mount the stock dash board. I check out some after market billet dashes but all i have found only mount to the stock stem. If i go back to the stock stem an have a roll over again it will probably bend just like the last one. Has anyone ran into any steering stem problem? and does any one have an answer for mounting the dash if you use an after market stem? Not sure why you want to change to a stronger aftermarket one? You need a weak point somewhere. If you strengthen the stem the impact is going to transfer to the next weakest point. that point may be much more expensive. I know on my mud trucks you try to make the drivetrain as strong as possible but you need a weak point to save the more expensive components. I know they hold up very well if you dont roll it. Dont roll it and you wont have that problem. I would think if you had a habbit rolling it you might want to change your riding style.

Why wouldn't someone want to upgrade a steering stem. If you ride hard enough, "deviations from your intended vectors" often happen. Along with the Roll Designs stem, there is also the HPD, and Rath units. All add great looks and strength.

I just upgraded to a Roll Design stem and bar mount, Rox/Roll Design dash panel and oversize Pro Taper bars. This upgrade looks great and feel much more natural than the stock bars and stem. The new dash looks great. The total cost was about $450
