Well I finally got the wife talked into a X2 so now I am looking at winches. If I can get a good deal on a 3000 should I go for it or is the 2500 enough. I had the 2500 on my 400 Xplorer and it seemed to bogg sometimes but that might have been towards the end of its life. Does anyone know if they make the Multi Mount for the X2? I haven't been able to find them anywhere so I don't know if they quit making them.

 

I would go with the 3000 for a little bit more pulling power but mainly because it carries a lifetime warranty vs just a one year with the 2500. Warn doesn't make the multi-mount for the 3000 and I think they have discontinued the multi-mount for the 2500. Check out montanajacks.com they make an accessory receiver system for most atvs but they might not have it out for the x2 yet. They look really well built and very practical. It allows you to move your winch to the front or back along with alot of other accessories they make. Gas can holder etc

Thanks for the info. I will check out Montana Jacks for sure. I didn't realize the 3000 had a lifetime warranty. I will definately go that route.

 

NemadjiJim, I checked it out on the warn web site and they do offer the 3000 in the multi mount but I don,t know if they have it for the x2 just yet.There is a phone number on the web site that i bet you could call and find out((warn.com))

RoughRider, I did email them and they replied back that it will a Multi Mount will be coming out in the next month for the X2. I just got my 3000 winch and my wheeler should be coming in this week hopefully so I will wait and see before I mount my winch to the front.

 

I would actually take the 2500, save that extra money and use it for your nice machine, my winch has never had a problem
