sorry, i wish i could help but the only polaris 4x4 we've got is a 425Xpedition, and it's a manual shift 5-speed, I.E. no EBS, which sounds like the souce of a problem... all i've got to say is whether the dealer can figure it out or not, it's their job to, so i'd say they should work on it, before something really comes apart after your 6 mo. waranty is up... good luck

The 700 has EBS
Mine made lots of funky sounds going down hills from it.
Guessing it's the same for your 700.

It's kinda funny it makes sounds you wouldn't think would be good sounds. haha

if it is a clanking noise that is normally your rear drive shaft..it is common if using high gear when decending a hill..as the wheels grab it causes the shaft to chatter...it has been doing it for 4800 miles...no mechanical problem...

TallTexan.
Seems to me you better look for another dealer.......I'm totally surprised that they didn't at least mention to you that it is probably the EBS........Mine does the same thing........Strange noise but get used to it....

Same here. I have an 06 800 and it does the same thing. They call it normal. I call it annoying. I've somewhat gotten used to it now that i know everyones elses does it.
Good luck at getting used to it.

Mine does it too..it's a squeeling noise. It's the ebs, it's mechanical. If you just touch the throttle when it does it, you will notice it goes away. Not a good thing for deer scouting, they can hear the squeeling miles away.

They all do it. Mine does the same thing and does my unlces 800. The dealer said it was normal. A lot of it has to do with the engagement of the clutch. If you stay off the throttle it will reduce the amount of clanking in the drive shaft for clutch engagement and disengagment.

Mine chatters like everyone elses. I never heard it squeel. You might have something else going on.

Talltexan..Is your noise clanking or squealing????Like some one else posted a little throttle will solve both or use low gear and throttle...
