Front steering pulling hard right
#1
I need a little help please. I had a boot break and before I got it fixed, my grandkids nad wife rode my Polaris Trailboss (350L 1993) a little. Anyway, I went out there and they said it had been steering funny. Well, yea! the wheels were going in opposite directions when I saw it, with the FRONT RIGHT outside steering knuckle broken and the A-arm broken, and then of course the shaft pulled ot of the cv joint .
I have fixed everything back up now, with taking everything apart on that side, new boot, cleaned and greased CV joint new A-arm & bushings, Checked and cleaned all the bearing, filled the wheel cylinder with oil, etc. The very first thing I noticed was it wanted to pull hard right. I only rode it a few feet to notice this. T(his was the problem I think it started having when all the things broke.) This is when it is not in 4WD (I checked!) Can you give me a heads up on what I didn't do correctly or what else might be wrong? The alignment looked normal/OK when it was still up on the rack. One thing I don't know about is if there is any "timing" of the shaft in the outside CV joint. I know there somebody on here who knows what's up and can help me. Thanks in advance guys.

You may want to put it in the air and see if the 4wd is stuck on or if something is binding. The front has a clutch assembly in each hub. Either the clutch is bad or the armature plate is warped. . If you had to fix the cv you may have put the front hub together wrong also.

Not a bad idea, to put it on the rack and see. But I think something was wrong before to have caused such severe problems (possibly unrelated to the boot or CV joint).
Question: Could a bad CV joint cause it to pull hard right like this when the 4WD is not ingaged?

It sound like the axle is not in the cv joint I had this same problem with my sportsman when I installed a front lift.
I would put it back on the rack and pull the cv boot to make sure everything is together.
